These small cylindrical baskets, handwoven by the women of the Mina tribe in coastal Benin, are made of a very plentiful lowland grass from the swampy delta area of Benin. They are very tightly woven and are distinguished by the fringe around the rim that is as long as the baskets are tall. They come in 2 sizes:

4 1/2" deep x 5" diameter, and

3 1/4" deep x 3 1/2" diameter
