Handwoven from coastal swampgrass in Benin, West Africa. These baskets serve multiple uses for the people of the swampy delta region of Benin and Togo. This basket is relatively small although some are even smaller; the majority are much larger. This one is of the most common type, all natural woven reeds, giving it a beautiful texture, but exceptionally with a single green reed woven into the bottom.

This basket is 11 1/4" tall with a 8" diameter opening.
