These unique one-of-a-kind beaded wire spiders are part of the movement of contemporary African art sweeping the Continent. These showcase the work of the artist known as "Tet".  These spiders feature 2 or 3 handmade black or amber African powder glass beads and recycled wire. The smallest black and amber beads, the feet and antennae, are imported, conventional glass. These African beads, also called "sandcast" beads - are modern versions of the traditional low-fire bead making process which has proliferated recently in Ghana. Tet's creativity is reflected in a large variety of beads of this type; he has chosen these spiders as one more way to exhibit his skill.
