Traditionally made from naturally shed water buffalo horns these bracelets are sculptural objects with great visual appeal. The supply of this material is not sufficient in Vietnam to satisfy the demand so the Vietnamese craftspeople who make these import Ankole cattle horns from Kenya and Uganda.That cattle, native to East Africa, is raised primarily for its meat and milk, like most other cattle. Horns of this type occur naturally in a range of colors; our bracelets come in a wide range of these colors. A photo of the cattle whose horns they use is attached, along with a photo of some of the largest horns.

This very wide version of these bracelets, in translucent caramel with a large wide splash of cream measures 2 3/8" (6 cm) wide. The interior dimension is 2 5/8 x 2" (6.8 x 5 cm). The horn is thick: 1/16" (2 mm).
