This cloth is a modern representation of traditional Bamana "bogolan", popularly known as mudcloth, using a batik technique instead of the hand-painting technique used for genuine mudcloth. This modification allows for much more detailed designs over a much larger area. The basic cloth is the same: handspun, handwoven cotton. 

This beautiful textile is priced lower because it has a dying abberation in the upper left corner. It textile measures 63" x 41" (160 x 104 cm)
