African Recycled Metal Can Toy Concorde Airplane - Senegal
$98.00
Traditionally, all children in Africa make their own toys out of found materials: discarded cans, wire, old sandals, tires, etc. Following this long-standing tradition modern artists are creating art in all kinds of forms. This airplane was made by such an artist but it could have been a toy a child might have made for him or herself. This unique toy sculpture was made years ago, before the Concorde supersonic jet disappeared from the skies.
Although this could have been a toy in Africa we consider it only to be a decorative object. It is NOT appropriate as a toy for a child unless it's the African child who made it.
