Small Ceremonial-style African Lega Tribal Mask from Congo (DRC)
This mask was probably not made for traditional tribal use but was made by people who would have made those same authentic masks, in the same tradition using the same tools and techniques. It looks so much like the genuine, vintage ritual masks that it's hard to know the difference. This smaller version of this style of mask is completely typical of the Lega people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a "passport" mask.
This mask measures: 5.5" tall (14 cm)
