This mask was probably not made for traditional tribal use but was made by people who would have made those same authentic masks, in the same tradition using the same tools and techniques. It looks so much like the genuine, vintage ritual masks that it's hard to know the difference. The style is completely typical of the Chokwe people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We have photographed it on a 20" tall stand which is also available as item TLS-1-20. The purchase of the mask does NOT include a stand.
