This original, handmade work of art was made in Central African Republic by a cooperative of women who collect 100% real butterfly wings from the ground. Butterflies of many different kinds abound in the forests of the CAR. No butterflies are killed to make this exceptional artwork. We sell them unframed. The wings of a wide variety of butterfly species - resulting in many different colors - are pasted one by one by hand onto a sheet of heavy white paper. You will receive exactly this work of art.
