This is one of the hats most commonly worn by men in West Africa. In Burkina Faso, where these are made, they are called “bonnets”. Many Americans know it as a “kufi”, a “koofy” or a “coofy”, a hat commonly worn by Muslims but not exclusively. It is also known as a skull cap or a beanie. The interior circumference of this relatively large version is approximately 23 1/2" +/- 1/4" making it a very good fit for a large head. These are the largest of this variety of kufi that we have.
