Made from from vegetable fibers by women of the Gogo tribe of Tanzania. The small base of the basket is of goat skin. 

This basket was used for many years and manifests all that age by the patina all over it. Over most of the surface the quality is excellent although there are imperfections on the rim.

This basket measures 12" tall x 12 1/2" dial (30.5 x 32 cm)
