$398.00
I met the artist of this original artwork, Martins, aka Wumight, when he came to see me in Lome, Togo, to show me his work. He is from the city of Osogbo (pronounced Oshogbo) in Nigeria. He is one of the many students of the Osogbo School, established by Europeans there in the 1960's in order to teach African art students European techniques of painting, using their own unique, African inspiration.
Martins has entitled this painting, "Elite in the Village".
This painting measures 25 x 20 1/2" (63.5 x 52 cm).
