This small, simple tote was fashioned of cotton cloth and features a vintage Dao tribal textile embroidered panel. The panel was originally incorporated into a Dao woman's garment. When it wore out the embroidery was preserved and repurposed. These textiles are beautiful and labor-intensive examples of traditional Vietnamese Hmong textile manufacture, an artistic style which is disappearing.
