It has been a tradition in Ghana for many years for movie theaters to advertise the films they show by displaying hand painted "posters" of the films. This tradition has largely been replaced in recent times by posters conventionally printed on paper but there remain artists reproducing the old hand painted art on canvas, in Ghana. The "canvas" used for this painting is an old flour sack.
