Tuareg artisans, as a group, are among the most accomplished on the Continent. Their body of artistic expression is unsurpassed. These boxes, covered with intricately tooled leather in bas-relief designs follow that tradition. Although these boxes are made in a wide variety of sizes and shapes this one is unique because it is old and used and one of a kind, not having been made to sell, rather to have been used by Tuareg people themselves, proving the authenticity of the tradition.
