The merchant from whom I bought this old African photo could not identify the person but clearly the photograph had been taken a long time ago and was not preserved under the best conditions so the photograph is somewhat deteriorated. I am able to identify the lion statue in the photograph which is the symbol of a king of the Fon tribe of Benin.

The overall dimensions are 18 1/2 x 15" (47 x 38 cm) The photo itself is 15 1/8 x 11 1/2" (38 x 29 cm)
