This vintage, authentic statue is a figure that was used for "fetish" purposes by Fon people in Benin. The interested person, the owner of it or the person who was just using it, would place objects of spiritual significance on the platform on top to accomplish a purpose, i.e., improve one's health or any other condition the person was facing. The figure is dressed in the traditional fashion of the Fon people.
