The cord of this single-strand necklace is of finely twisted natural undyed leather with a traditional ball and loop closure. We have used this cord to string our vintage small brass Dogon male head gold weight pendant. The leather is made from goatskin. The pendant was hand cast using the traditional lost wax casting method employing only traditional techniques and materials.
