Vintage Wooden Tshi Ladle from Congo, Africa | 10"
This vintage vessel was handcarved from wood by the Tshi (Tshiluba) people deep in the Congo. It was used by the Tshi people for a long time as evidenced by its patina, all over the handle, sides, and brim of the container, where it was most often held. Many of these cups have repoussé repairs, further proof of their age and use.
This container measures: 10 1/2"(L) x 5"(W) x 3 1/4"(H)(27 x 13 x 8 cm)
