This type of basket is made of palm fronds, the stems of palm leaf branches. This basket is essentially an enormous disk with a very low rim. In Benin, women use these to display their products in the market and to carry them on their heads to transport them. We use these as stunning decorative disks on the wall.

This basket measure 1" deep x 33 to 34" in diameter
