This cloth is a very traditional Hausa textile, woven in wide bands using the traditional double heddle dragstone loom, in Niger. The bands are not completely sewn together, rather are just pegged together with intermittent stitches This elaborate textile features supplementary weft patterns as well as weft fringe throughout.

This textile measures 98 x 63" (249 x 160 cm)
